Brad Binder Sets a New Kyalami Record (LATEST NEWS)

During the break that occurred in the middle of the racing season, Brad Binder went home to try to beat the record for the fastest lap time at the Kyalami race track, which is located near Johannesburg, South Africa.

Kyalami, which comes from the Zulu language, loosely translates to “my home.” The rider for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team hails from South Africa. Binder returned home to race at “home,” which is a statement constructed based on the train of thought of Jason Goliath, who also happens to be a comedian in addition to being the host for the video.

This remark is both poetic and puzzling, and it was coined by Jason Goliath.

To set a new record for the track, Binder needed to beat the time of 1:45.00. The Australian rider Wayne Gardner was the most recent premier class GP rider to set a record lap, and he did so in 1992 at the South African Motorcycle Grand Prix. It has been a whole 3 decades since that previous record was established.

“It was so cool to ride this bike here, it is not quite the same one I’m riding at the moment, but super close and just to go through turn one at this track is quite unique – there is nothing quite like it out there,” said Binder.

The racer, who was 27 years old and was riding a KTM RC16, proceeded to the track and recorded a time of 1:42.26, which was faster than the time that Gardner had recorded by more than two seconds.

“It’s been super fun, it’s something I never thought I would do in my life, riding a MotoGP bike around in some iconic spots all over Johannesburg,” Binder added.

However, we may have gotten a little ahead of ourselves. What would a Red Bull production be without a little bit of flair and some background? A training montage for Binder that featured a number of motorcycles from the KTM Factory Racing stable was provided to him.

Binder got a chance to ride each of the KTM race bikes, including a 1290 Super Duke R, but the scenes that stood out the most were the ones in which he hopped on an RC16 and raced through the streets of South Africa. The final scene depicted Binder riding a 1290 Super Duke R.

Mihael

Hello there fellow motorcycle enthusiasts; I’m Mihael. The first motorcycle I had was a scooter Gilera vxr 200 from 2003. This is the motorcycle I fell in love with, which brought me into the moto world. Since then, I have been riding many kinds of bikes, from dirt bikes to race bikes. At the moment, I have a Kawasaki Z750 from 2004, and all I can say is that it is a hell of a bike. I have been riding motorcycles for the last 10 years, and during this period, I have been to many locations where I would probably not be without my bike. My goal is to give you the best advice and tips possible that I have been using myself and that all of my biker friends find helpful to them as well.
