At this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix, Ferrari plans to debut a new livery that incorporates the color yellow.
At Monza, the location of the 16th race of the 2022 season, the Maranello-based team presented an upgraded color scheme on its garage doors.
The team also published a social media image of drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc sporting yellow t-shirts.
The shirts were made available to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Ferrari’s first Formula One victory.
The drivers will “also have a yellow vehicle for the Monza race,” it was stated during the t-shirt unveiling.
Ferrari has previously raced with modified liveries, most notably in the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix to commemorate its 1000th F1 race.
This year, the Italian team has captured four Grand Prix victories, with Leclerc taking home three of them.
The Monegasque driver is presently second in the Drivers’ standings, but he is a staggering 109 points behind Max Verstappen, who is leading the championship.
Due to the Monza track’s preference for straight-line speed, Red Bull will start as the favorite for the forthcoming Italian Grand Prix weekend.
Ferrari will attempt to break the Milton Keynes team’s rhythm and win its second Monza race in four years, however.
