These brand new cruisers were made available to the police force as a result of the “Yamaha for Police” program. Their foundation is the Yamaha Tracer 9.
In 2015, Yamaha Motor launched a program called “Yamaha for Police,” and the Italian Carabinieri was one of the numerous police departments that received motorcycles from Japanese manufacturer.
The Italian Carabinieri are tasked with both local and international law enforcement responsibilities. Carabinieri is the Italian word for “Carabiners,” and another name for the group is “La Benemerita,” which either means “The Reputable” or “The Meritorious.” Carabinieri is an Italian word.
An executive from Yamaha Italy provided feedback on the activities of the program, indicating that they were very pleased to be able to concretely convey the brand’s commitment to the community and help the authorities that protect and serve.
They are eager to keep going in this direction and offer a wide range of Yamaha goods that can cater to users on asphalt, water, and snow, as well as off-road. This was expressed by Vito Caramia, who is the Manager of the Dealer Development and New Business Department.
The Tracer 9s have been fitted with pulsating beacons and LED lights that have been put on telescopic poles that may be manually extended. In addition to that, the basic windscreen of the Tracer features a double set of LED flashers that are incorporated into them.
A set of low-profile neodymium loudspeakers, both a master and a slave system, as well as an electrical module with a water-tight panel that has backlit buttons, were also added. These sirens were also installed.
In addition, the specifications call for the installation of a radio that is linked to the communication channels used by the remainder of the fleet. The complete configuration was conceived of in collaboration with the INTAV Srl team.
Furthermore, the bikes are painted in the Carabinieri’s black and red livery, making them resemble a unique Tracer 9 rather than a standard police cruiser. Very cool stuff.
There will soon be an additional number of police cruisers. The original shipment of the Tracer 9 included 48 units that were sent to the Carabinieri.
According to Motociclismo, an additional 35 motorcycles are on their way, and once they arrive, they will also be employed to fulfill protection and public safety responsibilities by the activities of the Carabinieri.
