Janus Motorcycles (Best About Janus)

Janus motorcycles are a motorcycle company specializing in producing classic motorcycles, making this motorcycle category popular among riders.

If we look at Janus motorcycles, we can see that they look like the historic look of motorcycles. Still, they are integrating new technology to produce the best quality models on the market. The company was named after the Roman god of time, which is why we can feel like we have traveled back to the future when we see and ride their bikes.

Janus Motorcycles History

Janus is a motorcycle company established by American co-founders Richard Worsham and Devin Biek back in 2011. Since then, the company has been growing rapidly. The company was first imagined as a company for repairing and restoring mopeds, and they sold their first motorcycle in 2013. They are located in Goshen, a small city in Indiana.

The founders of Janus Motorcycles, Worsham, and Biek, were very interested in smaller motorcycles that are easy to ride and lightweight. As the years passed and their interest in motorcycles grew, they created strong partnerships with many strong motorcycle industry vendors and began developing their motorcycles.

Although this motorcycle is very small compared to motorcycle giants like Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, and others, they are growing rapidly in the motorcycle industry-specific to manufacturing motorcycle types and styles for their company.

Janus Models

Halcyon is the original model that the company started its production with. They started to manufacture two more motorcycle models. They manufacture small motorcycles that are perfect for comfortable rides. They are focusing more on producing motorcycles that will give you riding comfort rather than focusing on size and weight.

They produce each motorcycle model with great care to ensure that each bike is a masterpiece providing value and quality to its owner that will be on the top level for many years to come. Every Janus motorcycle model has its specifications, and here are the models:

Halcyon 250

Halcyon 50 is the first motorcycle model that the company created and was later upgraded to a 250 CC four-stroke engine. This is a small 50 CC twostroke engine that has 10 HP. The maximum speed of the Halcyon 250 is about 55 mph which is an excellent motorcycle for beginner riders.

This motorcycle has wide-set handlebars, a 6-speed gearbox, and a low tank. Almost all of the parts of these first motorcycle models were manufactured a couple of miles from the Janus Motorcycle shop in Goshen, Indiana. During the first days of Halcyon 250, you could only make small upgrades like adding saddlebags.

The first version of Halcyon 50 was upgraded to Halcyon 250 in 2015. This model has a 250 CC fourstroke engine and not a two-stroke like the Halcyon 50 CC. They also made a frame with a new design which looked much better on this motorcycle model. Halcyon 250 can reach the maximum speed of 70 mph and has 14 HP.

Phoenix 250

Janus Motorcycles decided to make a new model at the same time when they upgraded the Halcyon. This new model was named Phoenix 250. The idea behind Phoenix 250 was to make this motorcycle with a much more sporty look and full suspension that can be compared to a classic Dunstall motorcycle. Many riders who like modern-style motorcycles have fallen in love with this motorcycle because of its Grand-Prix lines and a racer seat.

Gryffin 250

Gryffin 250 is another motorcycle that Janus Motorcycle added to their motorcycle collection in 2017. They wanted to make a motorcycle with a more tough and rugged appearance with off-road capabilities. This motorcycle also has the standard double-cradle frame, just like Halcyon and Phoenix.

Mihael

Hello there fellow motorcycle enthusiasts; I’m Mihael. The first motorcycle I had was a scooter Gilera vxr 200 from 2003. This is the motorcycle I fell in love with, which brought me into the moto world. Since then, I have been riding many kinds of bikes, from dirt bikes to race bikes. At the moment, I have a Kawasaki Z750 from 2004, and all I can say is that it is a hell of a bike. I have been riding motorcycles for the last 10 years, and during this period, I have been to many locations where I would probably not be without my bike. My goal is to give you the best advice and tips possible that I have been using myself and that all of my biker friends find helpful to them as well.
