(LATEST) 2023 Suzuki SV650 Gets Three New Colors in Italy

The stock market is volatile and unpredictable. The cost of gas keeps fluctuating. In this uncertain world, there is at least one thing we can bank on, and that is the fact that Suzuki will be bringing back the SV650 for still another year.

To say that the SV has seen better days is something of an understatement. The evergreen nude, which saw its debut performance in 1999, is now well past the legal drinking age (in the States).

It would appear that the House of Hamamatsu is willing to continue manufacturing the SV650 in its current state.

The vehicle was most recently updated by Suzuki in the year 2017. Since then, the company has released the café racer-inspired SV650X in 2018, although production of this model was limited and it was discontinued soon after.

The Suzuki website for North America only shows the base SV and its ABS counterpart in 2022, and new colorways for the 2023 model year that have been announced in Italy suggest that there won’t be any alterations to the platform any time soon.

Suzuki has given its most recent hues the names Blu Las Vegas, Gray London, and Black Dubai in the hopes that linking them with well-known places will provide an air of luxury to the vehicles.

The 2022 Glass Sparkle Black livery is carried over into the Black Dubai livery, which features the same bronze-painted trellis frame and gloss black paint base as before.

Nevertheless, bronze-colored wheels are added to the Dubai Black package as an additional highlight. The same frame and wheelset are used for the Blu Las Vegas color scheme, but this time they are paired with a tank and tail section that is navy blue in hue.

It’s possible that the Gray London paint job is the most intriguing alternative, but not for reasons that are merely related to appearance.

In the world of motorcycling, the Suzuki SV650 is often referred to as the “poor man’s Ducati Monster.” In the previous year, the Bologna brand refreshed its Monster platform with a single livery that featured slate gray and red.

It would appear that Suzuki has taken yet another page from the Ducati playbook in order to design the Gray London color option for the SV650.

There is no new information to provide other than the introduction of some additional color options. The V-twin engine with a capacity of 645 cc and a 90-degree angle is still suspended from a trellis frame.

The SV is nevertheless user-friendly, despite its lack of performance and innovations, thanks to its seat height of 30.9 inches and its curb weight of 432 pounds.

Following the unveiling of the model in Italy, we are anticipating three new(ish) paint schemes as well as an MSRP that is slightly higher than the existing price tag of $7,299 for the Suzuki Swift. Suzuki has not officially announced the model in the United States.

Mihael

Hello there fellow motorcycle enthusiasts; I’m Mihael. The first motorcycle I had was a scooter Gilera vxr 200 from 2003. This is the motorcycle I fell in love with, which brought me into the moto world. Since then, I have been riding many kinds of bikes, from dirt bikes to race bikes. At the moment, I have a Kawasaki Z750 from 2004, and all I can say is that it is a hell of a bike. I have been riding motorcycles for the last 10 years, and during this period, I have been to many locations where I would probably not be without my bike. My goal is to give you the best advice and tips possible that I have been using myself and that all of my biker friends find helpful to them as well.
