(LATEST NEWS!!!)Twisted Road Adopts 20-Point Inspection

If you have ever rented a motorcycle through a peer-to-peer (P2P) marketplace, you are aware that not all owners are created equal. P2P options like Riders Share and Twisted Road outsource that obligation to independent motorcycle riders, in contrast to well-established rental and touring services such as Eagle Rider, which maintain their entire collection of motorcycles.

Regrettably, not all owners of rental units adhere to the same maintenance standards for their properties. This piecemeal protocol has the potential to not only leave customers dissatisfied but also to put them in danger while they are driving.

This lack of consistency also contributes to experiences that are not as good as they may be, regardless of whether you are rolling on knackered tires or squeezing shot brakes.

Twisted Road is aware that if a rental is not properly maintained, it could lead to mechanical failures, negative feedback from customers, or even injuries in the worst-case scenario.

The P2P service is implementing a new 20-point inspection procedure with the goal of more effectively controlling rental running orders.

Twisted Road founder and CEO Austin Rothbard said “Because most of our rental motorcycles are owned by individuals, we had to find an innovative and scalable way to inspect bikes to reduce on-road issues,”

The Twisted Road catalog features over 3,000 privately owned motorcycles from the United States, so customers have a wide variety of rental alternatives to choose from.

Having said that, such a massive collection also creates challenges in terms of regulatory compliance; nonetheless, the company’s recent adoption of more stringent standards ought to result in greater uniformity and dependability.

“By having the owner show us the tires, electrical system, and other key areas virtually, we can identify the bikes that are in good working order and encourage owners to inspect and maintain their motorcycles regularly,” said Rothbard. “However, we also require the rider and the owner to review the bike just prior to riding to verify that it’s safe to ride.”

Twisted Road provides an accessible and more cost-effective alternative to corporate rental services, and its offerings range from short, one-day joy trips on a Ducati to longer, week-long adventures aboard a Harley-Davidson.

The peer-to-peer (P2P) option gets even more competitive with the introduction of the new 20-point examination. No, not all owners are made equal, but Twisted Road is taking the necessary efforts to guarantee that the experience a renter has is not negatively impacted by the differences among owners.

Mihael

Hello there fellow motorcycle enthusiasts; I’m Mihael. The first motorcycle I had was a scooter Gilera vxr 200 from 2003. This is the motorcycle I fell in love with, which brought me into the moto world. Since then, I have been riding many kinds of bikes, from dirt bikes to race bikes. At the moment, I have a Kawasaki Z750 from 2004, and all I can say is that it is a hell of a bike. I have been riding motorcycles for the last 10 years, and during this period, I have been to many locations where I would probably not be without my bike. My goal is to give you the best advice and tips possible that I have been using myself and that all of my biker friends find helpful to them as well.
