(LATEST)Yamaha Modifies the Brazilian Fazer FZ15

The small- to the medium-displacement motorcycle market in Latin America and the Asian market are extremely comparable. These kinds of motorcycles make sense because so many people rely on them for daily transportation because they are lightweight and reasonably priced.

The Yamaha FZ15 is one such motorcycle that isn’t “visible” in North America; it has a similar appearance to the smaller MT-03 but differs in a few significant ways from that model.

The updated Fazer FZ15 from Yamaha is now available in Brazil for 16,990 Brazilian Real, or around $3,315. The FZ15 is a well-liked option for commuters and enthusiasts in Brazil due to the bike’s versatility and athletic design, as was already mentioned.

We can immediately see that the FZ15 features a new projector headlamp that looks similar to the FZ25’s. In every other way, the FZ-FI V3 sold in Asia shares characteristics with the Fazer FZ15’s general design.

The motorcycle’s main improvement is the installation of premium Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tires as standard equipment. The length has also been increased by 10 mm, the ground clearance has been increased by 5 mm, and the fuel tank has been decreased from 12.9 to 11.9 liters.

The Fazer FZ15’s 149cc single-cylinder engine is even more exciting because it has flex-fuel characteristics that let it run on both ordinary gasoline and ethanol. At 7,500 rpm, the bike produces 12 horsepower, and its torque capacity is 8.89 ft-lbs.

Yamaha has fitted the Fazer FZ15 with a fully digital LCD instrument panel, with a few minor layout adjustments. Other than a few minor modifications, the bike has largely remained unchanged. The FZ15 is brought to a stop by a 220mm disc in the back and a 282mm disc up front.

It rolls on 17-inch wheels on either end, like most naked street motorcycles, and features new Diablo Rosso II tires measuring 100 and 140 at the front and back, respectively. The FZ15 weighs 135 kilograms when it is ready to ride, making it a generally lightweight motorcycle.

The updated entry-level naked streetfighter is available from Yamaha in three colorways: Racing Blue, Midnight Black, and Magma Red. It’s odd that the upgraded FZ15 debuted in Brazil first as the Asian-spec model hasn’t been updated yet.

Having said that, we may anticipate seeing the modifications featured on this bike in the United Kingdom in the upcoming months. Since the XSR155 and other hugely well-liked small-displacement commuters from Yamaha are among the best-selling motorcycles in Asia.

Mihael

Hello there fellow motorcycle enthusiasts; I’m Mihael. The first motorcycle I had was a scooter Gilera vxr 200 from 2003. This is the motorcycle I fell in love with, which brought me into the moto world. Since then, I have been riding many kinds of bikes, from dirt bikes to race bikes. At the moment, I have a Kawasaki Z750 from 2004, and all I can say is that it is a hell of a bike. I have been riding motorcycles for the last 10 years, and during this period, I have been to many locations where I would probably not be without my bike. My goal is to give you the best advice and tips possible that I have been using myself and that all of my biker friends find helpful to them as well.
